Fire Hits Accra Tourist Information Centre; Reggie Rockstone’s Rockz Waakye Affected

In the early hours of Monday, August 4, 2025, a fire broke out at the Accra Tourist Information Centre, affecting the Rockz Waakye eatery operated by veteran Ghanaian musician Reggie Rockstone and his wife.

 

The Ghana National Fire Service responded promptly, and the blaze was brought under control without any reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Reggie Rockstone expressed gratitude for the safety of everyone involved and assured the public of their intention to resume operations soon.

Additionally, during a segment on TV3’s #JonniesByte, journalist Johnnie Hughes confirmed that he was alerted to the incident by a call from a concerned individual and took appropriate journalistic steps to report on the situation.
