Morocco Doubles Scholarship For Ghanaian Students From 70 to 140 Annually
The Ghanaian government, through the Foreign Minister, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has established several important agreements with Morocco.
These include a visa-free waiver between the two countries, doubling of scholarships for Ghanaian students, food security cooperation enhancement, and pilot training offers.
The new agreements between Ghana and Morocco include that the number of annual scholarships for Ghanaian students in Morocco jumps from 70 to 140.
Morocco has agreed to take a move to boost food security and provide a free donation of 2,000 tonnes of fertilizers to the Ghanaian farmers. The North African country will also offer technical support for the construction of a modern fertilizer manufacturing plant in Ghana.

The cooperation between Ghana and Morocco will provide Ghanaian youth with the opportunity to receive pilot training at Morocco’s pilot training academy. This initiative aligns with President Mahama’s efforts to revitalize Ghana Airways.
The agreement between Ghana and Morocco also gives an education exchange program between the two countries. This will allow the Moroccan youth to study at Ghana’s Maritime University and other higher education institutions.
Ghanaian companies will have the opportunity to collaborate with their Moroccan counterparts as the Grand October 2025 business forum will be held in Morocco.
Morocco and Ghana are expected to work together on sea port expansion, railway development, textile production, and pharmaceuticals.
