In a recent interview on Hitz FM, Stonebwoy expressed optimism about the government’s initiatives aimed at uplifting the sector.
He particularly praised the appointment of industry professionals to key positions, noting that such decisions reflect a positive shift in recognizing the value of creative arts in national development. Stonebwoy highlighted the inclusion of renowned actress Kalsoume Sinare and actor-politician John Dumelo Jr., the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, as indicative of the government’s dedication to the arts.
“I believe the people appointed by the President in the Creative Arts industry will deliver and make a difference,” Stonebwoy stated, emphasizing the potential impact of these appointments on the industry’s growth.
The artist, who clinched the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards in June 2024, underscored the importance of fair and merit-based opportunities within the sector. He also expressed a personal desire to contribute more significantly to national development through his role as a creative professional.
